When Big Energy Needs Grounding
A reflection on holding big energy without forcing it, and learning to honor the natural rhythm of expression.
I’m someone who carries a lot of energy… big, high-frequency energy. But even with that expansiveness, there’s a part of me that aches for grounding and simplicity.
Sometimes I carry so much of it, channeling expansive ideas, creative surges, and an overflow of love, that it becomes hard to organize it or share it in a way that makes sense to others… or even to myself. My ideas often come in fast, like a rush, but translating them into words requires a different kind of energy. Even with all this creative flow, filtering it into a steady stream can feel impossible.
This week I’ve been writing my winter issue articles for The Awakened Journal, and while the ideas are absolutely there, I keep feeling myself caught between energy levels: the high, buzzing, visionary energy… and the soft, grounded space required to actually write.
It’s frustrating, because I can feel the ideas sitting inside me, ripe and ready. But that’s the problem, isn’t it? The moment I reach in to pull them out too quickly, the energy collapses.
It’s like trying to pluck a flower before it blooms.
Even big energy needs gentle grounding afterward.
I’ve come to realize that part of leadership is learning how to hold big energy without immediately turning it into output, even though I was conditioned to do exactly that. My soul is a vessel, not a machine and that truth softens my entire system, pulling up the old weeds of urgency that once kept me from trusting my natural timing.
When my energy is high, my instinct is to create, produce, write, share, guide. But sometimes the highest frequency moments are meant to be lived, not converted into content. They are meant to shift me first before they ever become words for someone else.
And the truth is, the more I honor this rhythm, the more aligned and powerful my work becomes. To recondition my response system to not rush and not force, to just naturally expressing myself from a grounded place.
So if you are carrying big energy right now, take the pressure off. Let the vision expand before you try to hold it. Let your system adjust. Let your heart catch up to the magnitude of what you’re receiving.
Your purpose won’t fade if you pause. In fact, it will land even deeper.
Sending you softness this week as you move through your own rhythm.
Grounding Meditation to Anchor Big Energy
Begin by taking slow, deep breaths.
Let your mind settle. Let your energy soften. Allow yourself to arrive fully in this moment.
Shift your attention to your heartbeat. Feel its natural rhythm. Hear it. Sense it. See it in your mind’s eye. Let your breath and your heartbeat find a shared, steady pace.
Now, gently “see” all of your big energy, the energy within you and the energy around you. Invite it toward you, as if drawing it in with a soft, welcoming net. Guide it back into your heart space.
Your heart is the gentle container designed to hold your magnificent energy while it integrates, settles, and prepares to be expressed outward in its own timing.
Now imagine a grounding cord extending from your heart chakra, a golden silk rope, dropping down through your body, through the floor, and deep into the Earth until it reaches the core.
This is your anchor as your big energy expands and finds its place within you.
Take three final deep breaths, letting your system adjust and your energy align. When you feel ready, complete your grounding by saying aloud or quietly within your mind:
“I am a vessel for divine energy to seed, grow, and flow through me. I anchor my energy with love.”
